We have some big announcements for Q4, with a lot of different parts of the business making significant changes. Please see the important information below, which is relevant to all our customers regardless of the products or services of ours that they use.
New website
We will soon be re-developing and re-launching this website, so things will look a little different soon. This is independent of the change to our new print-on-demand platform, which you can find out more about below.
Closure of our shop front for local customers
Our retail shop front will be entirely closed to customers from 5th October 2026, which means that if you're local to us then collections will no longer be possible. This is because we're beginning to refurbish our workshop and cannot have customers on-site due to health & safety. The retail shop front will not re-open to local customers on completion as we are aiming to expand our workshop into the front of the premises, however local delivery will still possible as normal in the PO1 - PO6 postcode areas.
Changes to print-on-demand
We’re doubling down on our print-on-demand offering, making it our core focus. As part of those efforts we’ll now be printing on all 7 days per week and shipping 5 days a week. This is not a temporary change to cover the busy Christmas period; we're making this a permanent change and it will mean that we can offer even better turnaround times for you. Staff will work shift patterns which will now include early starts and late finishes.
Turnaround times on our new shift patterns
In order for us to help you get the best possible turnaround time, we're asking that all customer place their print-on-demand orders as early in the day/evening as possible rather than batch submitting them all at once at a set time. Importantly, this includes submitting orders on weekends and bank holidays!
For evening orders: Place your POD orders between 4pm and 11pm to bump yourself to the front of the queue! These orders will be priority processed first, as well as have the benefit of both automated and manual artwork and address checks to avoid any delays.
For morning orders: Place your POD orders before 7am and you'll likely get everything printed and shipped within a few hours, same day.
We are encouraging all users to place their orders during the evenings or very early hours; which will help us adapt our shift start times. Effectively what we're saying is - if you can get your orders in by 11pm (or no later than 7am), you're going to get the best possible service from us and therefore the best service for your own customer too.
Platform consolidation
Over the past 12 years we have offered various ways to place print-on-demand orders with us - including bespoke API solutions, browser extensions, integrated workshop software and more. We've previously tried asking customers to move to our newer platform, but uptake has been slow. In order for us to progress, and as previously advised, we are now discontinuing all our older platforms and consolidating everything into one big platform. This includes an update to our new platform itself, too.
Our aim is to have everybody on one single platform no later than the end of February. This is a forced change, and all previous methods of ordering will become unavailable from the final date. If you're an affected customer, we'll contact you directly to arrange help in moving over to the new platform - no need to panic for now.
Changes to POD products
We're discontinuing the following print-on-demand product offerings by the end of October:
- Wheatstraw wireless charger
- Travel document holder
- Bamboo spirit level bottle opener
Any remaining stock at the end of October will be sold off as blank to the general public from this date and you'll no longer be able to purchase them printed on-demand.
We'll also be adding some new products too! However, we don't want to tease anything just yet as we need to ensure that we get it right before promising a product that may not make the final cut. We will continue to have a strong focus on baby and childrenwear, however.
Other, non-POD services - IMPORTANT
Whilst we're excited about improving our print-on-demand arm of the business, it's important we we make you aware of changes to our non-POD offerings that will be necessary for us to grow the POD side. Unfortunately, like everything, this does mean some cuts.
It's important to us that we are contactable and approachable, and right now our resources are being spread too thin across the wider business for us to comfortably achieve that. We're now making that right, by making some non-POD changes.
Discontinued products & services
From Monday 5th October 2026, imprintable will no longer offer the following:
-
Printed transfers, sheets & rolls - of all types (sublimation, DTF, UVDTF, white toner, foiling) for other companies and crafters. We encourage you to find alternative suppliers within the industry, of which there are too many to name and we do not have a specific recommendation of any one supplier that we would point you to.
- Printer bundles and consumables - we'll no longer stock or supply printer bundles, paper, film, DTF ink, DTF consumables or maintenance parts. Many of these items are commonly available from other suppliers at similar prices.
We will still offer our own brand sublimation inks, and we are also looking at potentially placing these on Amazon Prime too for your convenience.
We'll also continue to support Andemes United Kingdom customers with service, support and repairs - although we will not have stock of Andemes DTF inks. You can place Andemes orders directly with our factory partner in China, or we can point you to other ink suppliers if you prefer.
Services that we're keeping, with some restrictions
We're pleased to announce that we'll still be offering the following:
-
Custom ICC profiles - however, these will be limited to sublimation and inkjet printers going forward. DTF, DTG and UV-DTF profiles will no longer be available.
-
Shopify websites - As a bronze level Shopify partner and accredited developers, Shopify website builds will still be available. These will now be provided by Liam directly, outside of imprintable, as part of a different company. There is also a self-imposed restriction of a maximum of 1 website per month, however. A waiting list will be available, and you will be required to pay a deposit to join the waiting list.
-
Technical support - Liam is well known in the print and wider industry for providing excellent technical support and expertise on a wide range of topics. Unfortunately due to abuse, however, this will now only be available as a paid service by the hour and free support is no longer available in any form.
-
On-site printer repairs - Liam will still provide on-site industrial printer repairs but only across the primary south coast service area. It will no longer be possible to have your printer or equipment repaired at our Albert Road store due to the planned refurbished of our own workshop.
A secondary but more ad-hoc focus of the business will also be on providing software and platforms for printing/crafters/small businesses. Rather than have set release days and teasers, anything that we produce will be announced as and when it is available.
Thank you for your custom
We realise that discontinuing any product or service is never welcomed news. However, we feel that by us focusing on what we do best and reorganising our business in a more structured way, we'll be better placed to help more people and be more available to those who want to work with us.
Thank you for choosing imprintable, either as a previous, current or new customer. We really appreciate your business.
